Meet Pablo Velastegui, DMD, FAGD

Being a dentist is a privilege, as it gives me the unique opportunity to help people in many
different ways. As I guide my patients in managing their dental needs, getting to know them
and their interests is an important part of my approach. I believe that building and maintaining
a strong professional relationship with my patients allows me to better understand where they
are in their lives and how I can best help them.

A Path of Accelerated Learning

Born and raised in Ecuador, I was inspired by my father, a general dentist, to pursue a career in dentistry. I moved to New York to continue my education and, in 2018, graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

From there, I further advanced my clinical expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry by joining
a private practice in Massachusetts.

Through continued education in general, implant, and cosmetic dentistry, I am committed to
delivering the highest quality of dental and patient care. This lifelong commitment has driven
me to continually expand my knowledge and skills, completing hundreds of hours of lectures
and hands-on courses every year.

FAGD Fellowship

In 2022, I became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. The Fellowship Award (FAGD)
is presented to dentists who demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest quality of
dental care through ongoing education and staying current with advancements in the
profession.

Community Service

Throughout my dental career, I have prioritized providing care to underserved communities and
have participated in several community service programs throughout Connecticut. I have also
had the privilege of traveling to Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico on dental service trips.

Dentistry Is Art Backed by Science

For over eleven years, I worked as a sculptor’s assistant under Master Sculptor Greg Wyatt,
where I refined my artistic and technical skills. Sculpting has greatly enhanced my manual
dexterity and visual acuity, both essential to the precision and artistry of dentistry.
In my free time, I continue to enjoy sculpting and traveling. Most of all, I enjoy spending time
with my wife, who is also a dentist, and our two children.
