Meet Pablo Velastegui, DMD, FAGD

Being a dentist is a privilege, as you have the unique opportunity to help people in many varying ways. As I guide my patients to solve their dental needs, engaging with and getting to know their interests is paramount to my success. I find that when I can create and maintain close relationships with my patients, this helps me to better understand where they are at in their lives, and how I can best help them.

A Path of Accelerated Learning

Born and raised in Ecuador, with a father who is a general dentist, I decided to move to New York to continue my education. In 2018, I graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where I received a doctorate in Dental Medicine. It was from that point that I advanced my clinical expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry through moving to a private practice in Massachusetts.

By continuing my dental education in general, implant and cosmetic dentistry, I am committed to delivering only the highest quality of dental and patient care. This lifelong commitment has pushed me to continue my education completing hundreds of hours of lectures and hands-on courses every year.

In 2022, I became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. The Fellowship Award (FAGD) is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in the profession.

Throughout my dental career, I have prioritized providing dental care to underserved communities, and have participated in several different community service programs in Connecticut. I have also enjoyed traveling to Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico on dental service trips.

Dentistry is Art Backed With Science

For over eleven years, I worked as a sculptor’s assistant under Master Sculptor Greg Wyatt, where I have learned and improved my crafting abilities. This hobby of mine has immensely aided my manual dexterity and visual acuity, both of which are key components to the artistry of dentistry. In my free time, I enjoy sculpting and traveling with my wife, who is also a dentist.
